NEW--1983 Fitchburg Turner Hall : One of the first major fires I buffed from home.......by foot! I remember being chased down the street by the front of the building when it collapsed, and instead of running all the way home I turned around with a big grin and thought "That was fun!" That's the point when it was probably all over and I was destined to become what I am today (and if you have any idea what exactly that is, please let me know).

NEW--1992 May 28 5th Alm 32 Clarendon St : New scans of negatives----and they've never looked better. For some reason 2 different photo labs in town were never able to print these without making them green. First due. Mid-morning fire half mile from the house while I was laid off. While I was snapping off incredible photos in the front of the building the girl in the later pictures was dropping her little brother out the 3rd floor window into the arms of the Deputy Chief. Then she jumped. Goodbye Pulitzer Prize for the 2nd time. And yes kids, those are interior lines. Not for too long, but an initial aggressive interior attack none the less.

1998? 2nd Alm Forest Park : Not sure of the date yet. Pretty typical of a ripping Fitchburg fire of the day, and probably one of the last great jobs I shot on film. It was an extremely hot summer afternoon, maybe 90 and the guys took a serious beating.

Woolen Mills General Alm Sept 16, 1986 : Fitchburg's last General Alarm fire; Election Day, Tuesday September 16th, 1986. Sheldon Rd & West St. The fire came in at 2100 and was initially contained 'all in one corner' but quickly flashed over in the first building (as seen in the B&W photos) and consumed the whole Woolen Mills complex.
